Susan is getting ready for her Signing party in Nashville on Sept. 16, 2008. She and Danelle signed a record contract with Warner Brothers Nashville studios over a month ago and this is their showcase and party. Sharyn and I are going and so are Leslee and Robert. I hope it all goes well. Lots of Warner Brothers big shots are going to be there.
Susan and Danelle are still negotiating with John Deere tractor company over their name. It looks doubtful that they will be able to keep it without a fight and they are not sure they want to spend the time and money it would take to litigate it. So they may have to come up with a new name
Susan and Danelle are also about to sign a publishing (song writing) deal with Sony. That too will be a big deal. It may be more financially rewarding than the record deal unless of course they get a mega hit with one of their songs when their album comes out.
It also looks like Susan will be going to Germany and Italy with John Rich towards the end of October to play for the troops. things like this occasionally fall through but if it sticks it will be quite an experience.
Look for Susan on the ESPN college gameday ad that runs on saturday mornings. She is in the Big & Rich video of the song "Comin to your City" Watch close, she is only on for split seconds at a time. There is a cheerleader that looks a lot like her so watch for the girl with a baseball cap, grease under her eyes and playing a fiddle. That will be her.

Susan with John Rich and JOHN MCCAIN
As many of you know, Susan has been in Nashville for a little over 4 years now. She has been writing songs and been in a duo with Danelle Leveritt from Amarillo Texas. Susan has had opportunities over the years to go on the road with several Nashville artists including: Shannon Brown, Rissi Palmer, Halfway to Hazard, Trisha Yearwood and more recently with Big and Rich as well as John Richs' solo shows.
In the past few weeks she has had a great opportunity to go with John Rich as he has been playing at fund raisers for John McCain. She recently played at a rally in Cleveland and then flew with the McCain campaign including John McCain, his wife Cindy, Governor Palin and her family and the whole press corps.
